About Us

Elisabeth Angier is a registered chiropractor with over 20 years experience. She established the Wye Valley Chiropractic Clinic in September 2019, after relocating to Herefordshire with her family. Before this, she had run the Llangefni Chiropractic Clinic, Anglesey, established in 2007, seeing over 5000 people from Anglesey and North Wales in the 12 years that she was there. Prior to this, Elisabeth had gained considerable clinical experience working in clinics in Cheshire, Scotland and the south of England.
Elisabeth graduated with Distinction in MSc Chiropractic from the University of Surrey in 2000, having previously graduated from University of Bristol with BSc (2.1) Honours Physiology.
In the UK, ALL chiropractors must be registered with General Chiropractic Council (GCC), the statutory regulatory body for the profession that is there to protect the public and maintain the standards of the profession. Elisabeth is registered with the GCC and is a Registrant member of the GCC's Council. She has worked with the GCC for several years, assessing clinical competence, fitness to practice and educational standards within chiropractic.
Elisabeth is Chair of the Chiropractic Research Council, a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting research and researchers for the benefit of chiropractic patients and members of the public. She is a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC) which promotes professional excellence, quality and safety in chiropractic. As a member of the European Chiropractors Union (ECU) Elisabeth has lectured nationally and internationally on advances in chiropractic research, and ethical, professional practice. She is a Fellow of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), the UK's largest and longest standing membership organisation, and served as BCA Vice-President 2013-2016.
In addition to full-time clinical practice, Elisabeth has committed herself to several other roles within the chiropractic profession. Keen to support the next generation of chiropractors, Elisabeth is a Clinical Supervisor of final year chiropractic students at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, University of South Wales, and guest lecturer at the AECC University College.
Elisabeth is passionate about getting people active and mobile, back on track and able to get on with their everyday lives, freer and easier from pain and disability. She is experienced treating people of all different shapes and sizes, ages and backgrounds, with all sorts of problems. Whilst chiropractors are best known for treating conditions that affect the spine, like all chiropractors, Elisabeth is able to treat problems affecting the other joints and muscles around the body - and as a primary health care practitioner is trained to identify and manage other associated complaints and conditions, often referring on to the appropriate healthcare professional.
In her spare time, Elisabeth is a keen rower and active member of the Ross Rowing Club. She is a hobby-runner and has completed several marathons and half-marathons. She also enjoys kayaking, thus makes the most of beautiful parts of Herefordshire and the Wye Valley. She enjoys gardening (but has to admit that the majority of her efforts are enjoyed by her pet rabbits!) or just chilling out with a good book.
